Ingredients:
2 cups self-raising flour
2 TBSP Cream
1 cup milk
1 cup grated cheese
1 small carrot, grated
2 rashers of bacon, chopped
1-2 TBSP finely grated onion
2 TBSP parsley, finely chopped
Method:
Mix the extra ingredients together and stir the flour into it, until well mixed.
Add the cream and the milk and mix together with a knife.
If the dough is too stiff, add more milk. If it is too sticky, add more flour.
Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth.
Cut into rounds and place on a lined baking tray and brush with milk.
Bake at 180degC until golden.
*Cream doesn't have to be fresh. It can be cream which has soured.
Hi Rachel
ReplyDeleteI made these at lunchtime with my little girl and they were really tasty. Thanks for sharing the recipe - it is great using the cream instead of having to rub in butter to the flour. Worked really well - Katie (who is one) enjoyed eating them as much as making them.
