Chocolate Chip Cookies

I'm always looking for a good chocolate chip recipe - so many I've tried have failed, but this is a keeper! It's super easy and makes alot too.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

250 grams butter at room temperature
1 cup caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups plain flour
3/4 cup self-raising flour
1 cup Milk Chocolate Bits

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until pale and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in combined flours and chocolate bits into a soft dough. Roll large teaspoonfulls into balls and press with fingers until flat or use a fork to flatten.

Bake at 180 degC for 15 minutes.

This plate was given to me by my Nana. It was one of her treasures. She gave it to me when I was 17.

Nana always used to put labels on the back of her valuable things. The labels were there so that after she died  we would know who she wanted it to go to. But she gave me this one 14 years or so before that happened. It's nice to have something special with her writing on it.
